Starting Fresh

Writing used to come really naturally to me.

I would always have tons of ideas, sit down and type them out. It was that simple. I didn’t consider the fit or flow or the content’s theme. Whatever I wanted to write about, I would. I think working in Communications and seeing how profitable “good” writing could be tainted things for me. For a very long time (a.k.a. since Oct 2017) I no longer considered what I had to say good, or worth sharing.

TAYJERS blog was created as a way to share my experience as a PR girl in Toronto. That ship has sailed. I no longer work in the PR industry or have a strong desire to do so. It was fun but I’ve realized it’s not what I’m truly passionate about. I’d much prefer to connect.

Connect with young women who are also starting out in the Communications field.
Connect with mentors who can offer guidance and wisdom.
Connect with my friends and family way more often.
And most importantly, connect with myself!

I’ve thought about it and yes, I want to continue sharing. But about things that matter to me (and maybe on a more consistent basis). I hope to grow, increase my reach and really connect this year!
